The Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs provides leadership for University-wide functions that support the academic enterprise at Rutgers University. Working within the structure created by the higher education restructuring legislation, we coordinate academic programs throughout Rutgers in conjunction with the provosts at Camden, Newark, New Brunswick and Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences. Offices that report to the SVPAA include enrollment management, global and international affairs, institutional diversity and inclusion, institutional research, continuing studies and distance education, the Office of Information Services and University Librarian, Rutgers University Press, and the Office of Student Veterans Services, and Academic Labor Relations, among others.
The Senior Vice President is a key participant in fundraising and advancement initiatives, strategic planning, and resource allocation decisions. The Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs is charged with advancing the teaching, research, and service missions of Rutgers through the promotion of academic and programmatic excellence.
